Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that today is Thursday and I have off work tomorrow. Three day weekends are the best.

I am thankful that I have a fun weekend planned with lots of good friends. A friend of ours is getting married in West Virginia on Saturday so about 15 of us are renting a few vans and driving down there tomorrow morning. I like road trips with friends and I LOVE weddings.. so it should be a pretty good time ;)

I am also thankful that we are bringing dunkin donuts and someone else is bring mimosas for the early morning (we are leaving at 6am) car ride.. the mimosas will definitely help wake us up.. haha

I am very thankful that my mother-in-law and I are as close as we are.. otherwise living in her house while we wait for ours to be built wouldn't be so easy... but thankfully it's been going really well and I really don't have any complaints. (at least not yet.. lol)

I am thankful for having friends who work in retail stores, because it's really nice to get a little discount every now and then ;o)

I am thankful for books. I may sound like a dork, but I love to read. I go through stages where I can read 4 books back to back and then I may go a month without reading at all... but no matter what whenever I pick up a book and actually start reading, I get hooked. My favorite books to read are usually by either Nora Roberts or James Patterson. (Well and of course I am huge fan of both the Harry Potter and Twilight series as well haha)

and last but most importantly.. I am thankful and extremely proud of a husband who works SO hard for us.. he leaves the house first thing in the morning and sometimes doesn't get home until 10pm and never once complains. I am also very thankful that all of his hard work is paying off for him and getting him to where he wants to be. (and to where eventually his hours will be much less, thank goodness!)

******

Since we are leaving early tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday evening, I won't be posting again until sometime next week... but hope you all have a great weekend! Happy Thursday :o)

Wee Bit of Wednesday

Before getting into Leigh's Wee Bit of Wednesday post.. I just wanted to take a second to say HI :) I know it's been a week since I posted last, but I promise I have been keeping up with reading your blogs.

Things are going good here.. just the typical work stuff during the week and over the weekend we went out with some of our best friends for drinks. Iit was supposed to be a nice normal calm evening.. but it was one of those nights that turned in to too many tequila shots, lots of laughs, and staying until the bar closed for the night.... so basically it was a GREAT night haha.

Other than that nothing too much new.. hope you all have had a good week so far and now on to today's post:

{one} if you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?
Ignorance. It was the first thing that came to mind and I think it's pretty self explanatory.

{two} if you could go on vacation for the next month with an unlimited budget, where would you go?
Ok, so normally I would say Italy... BUT after watching the recent episode of the Bachelorette I am going to have to Tahiti... oh man, I would LOVE to go there for an entire month!

{three} cats or dogs?
I think it's pretty obvious from the pictures on my blog that I am going to have to say DOG.. and really wouldn't you pick dog if you were looking at this cute little face right now ;o)

(and YES I know he is in serious need of a haircut right now haha)

{four} would you rather date a lot of people or be in a committed relationship?
Well since I am married and actually started dating Vince when I was 15... I think I am going to have to say I am more of a committed relationships type of girl <3

{five} would you rather own a luxury yacht or a private jet?
Ooh a private jet please!! Then I really could travel anywhere, anytime I wanted to!

{six} what was the last book you read?
This weekend I finished reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts.. it's a 4 part series and I just started the second book last night.

{seven} would you rather be really hot or really cold?
Hot, definitely HOT. I absolutely HATE being cold.

{eight} if you could change your name, what would you change it to?
hmm... I have never really spent much time thinking about that, so I really have no idea what I would change my name to?!

{nine} what did you dream about last night?
I very rarely remember what I dream about.. I wish I did more often, but unfortunately I have no clue what I was dreaming about last night.

{ten} if you had to throw away either your tv or your computer, which would you throw away?
I would be really sad to throw away either... but if I had to choose I would say TV. (only because I can watch most of my favorite shows online too haha)

Happy Wednesday! :o)

(go here to see part 1 and part 2)
..and that's all folks!

We had SO much fun taking these pictures, hope you enjoyed seeing them!
Happy Wednesday ;o)

Pictures Part 2

Now that I posted the normal pictures of Vince and I in Cape May, here is Part 2 which is the trash the dress photos before we got into the water!

So, I guess really these are more like just basic beach portraits, we're not actually trashing the dress yet.. haha. (also quick side note, these are all just proofs so none have been edited or anything.. once they are there won't be any signs or random things in the background anymore)

**A special thanks to James and Christine at Cucinotta Images for all of the awesome photos! On Christine's personal site there are a couple of the edited pictures up on the home page

(Part 3 will be posted tomorrow!)

Lots and Lots of Pictures ;)

If you remember from this post a few weeks ago I mentioned that the photographer who did our wedding pictures asked if we would do a trash the dress session (since I had an extra dress anyways) and he also offered to take some regular pictures of Vince and I for free too.

Well this weekend we got them back. They got some really good shots and took over 1,000 pictures! So obviously I wont post them all, but I do want to post some of my favorites.
I am going to break this into 3 posts though, because it takes awhile to get them all uploaded and everything.

The first post will be the normal pictures of Vince and I, the second will have the pictures in our wedding stuff before actually getting into the water, and the last post will be all of the ones in the ocean.

So, here we go.. Vince and I on the beach in Cape May, NJ :)

Part 2 coming asap! ;o)

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that it is already Thursday because this week has seriously flown by. (I am not so thankful that it has been so busy that I haven't had a chance to blog.. sorry!)

I am thankful for the catered breakfast at work this morning.. I'm not normally a breakfast girl, but mmm panera bagels are the best! (I am not so thankful that I had to be at work at 6:45am to let the caterer in..)

I am thankful that I finally got the bug that I mentioned in my last post (and the box) out of my office this week...

I am thankful that Big Brother season 12 finally started last week! I love watching that show and all of the ridiculous drama haha. (I am NOT thankful that The Hills officially ended this week.. even though we all know that show is all kinds of fake drama.. I still enjoyed watching it ;o) )

Speaking of TV shows.. I am also very thankful that all of Vince's family is enjoying watching Lost with us. Ever since we bought season 1 last month we have all been glued to the tv at night watching episodes together and it makes it fun to have a show that we all get excited to watch like that. (we are already about halfway through season 2)

I am thankful for the exercise bike that is in the basement.. since I have to walk past it every single day to get out of our room down there, it gives me no excuse not to use it, so I have actually been getting on it pretty regularly (which I definitely needed..)

I am thankful that the township now has all of the paperwork submitted for our building permits. (We gave everything to the builder a few weeks ago and then he had to pass it to the engineer to work on and he finally finished with it.. so hopefully in about a month of so we will get the permits and they can actually start building!)

I am thankful that Vince and I are able to meet once in awhile during the work week for a quick lunch together. That little time together really breaks up the day and makes it go much faster.

I am thankful for a puppy who knows to either go to the bathroom outside or on his potty pads... it makes weeks like this when it rains on and off SO much easier when I don't have to worry about standing outside waiting for him to find just the right spot. (which trust me, at times can take awhile..)

Alright, well it's almost 8am and time for me to get started with work.. but hope you all have a had a good week and HAPPY THURSDAY :)

Bug problems..

Ughhhh.. seriously people, I am the biggest baby ever about anything related to bugs...

I know there are bugs out there everywhere... but I don't want to see them, feel them, hear them.. none of that.

Well, unfortunately for me right now I am freaking out a little because there is something in my office. I have an empty box in one corner of my office (which yes, I should have already thrown out but haven't gotten around to it)... and I can hear it crawling around in there and it sounds like it's digging to get out.

Ahhhhh... I have tried to ignore it and just continue to work on this massive stack of papers sitting on my desk right now, but I CAN'T. All I can do is keep looking over every 2 seconds to make sure that thing hasn't crawled out of the box yet. (because heaven help me if it does I may really freak out).. and really it has to be a pretty decent size bug for all of the noise it is currently making..

this is the box:

(and please don't judge my office by this one picture.. I swear it's actually very organized and put together..  besides, everyone is allowed to have one messy area.. )

My plan was to ask the guy in the office next to me if he would come look in the box and at least see what it is (yea.. I can't even force myself to go look at it.. pathetic I know). But right before I went to ask him I heard this loud crash and he came falling through the ceiling. No, I am not joking.

Apparently he got a ladder and climbed up there to check something out (no idea what?) and next thing you know he came crashing down. He's fine, but he has a big cut in his arm and now his office is a mess... SO needless to say, I can't bother him to help me with my little bug issue right now.

So now I  have NO plan on how to get it out (or really even how to figure out what it is) and I can't leave.. so it looks like I am stuck here in my office with my new little bug friend. As long as he stays where he is and doesn't actually bother me, we should be able to stay friends.. but if he comes out of the box, one of us is going to have to leave. (not sure yet which one that will be..)

oookay, better get back to work... man, all I can say is THANK GOODNESS IT"S FRIDAY!! The weekend cannot come soon enough!!

It's Wednesday already?

So I just got home from work and was planning on joining in Top 2 Tuesday... and then after looking at some other blogs I realized it's Wednesday. Seriously had no idea.. all day long I have thought it was Tuesday.
It's actually a nice little surprise to know the week is already more than halfway over haha... guess that's what happens when you have Mondays off. (now if only it was like that every week...)
Well anyways since it is Wednesday and I missed Top 2 Tuesday, I figured I would try Leigh Ashley's A Wee Bit of Wednesday..

{one} what's your dream car?
A 2010 black Range Rover Sport Stormer Edition. I have had a Range Rover obsession for probably the past 5+ years haha.. realistically I will probably never get one, but it's a dream car for a reason, right? ;)

{two} who's your favorite musician?
I am not really sure I have one... but lately I have been listening Katy Perry, Chris Daughtry, and Lady Antebellum a lot (plus we are going to see them and Tim McGraw on Friday!).. I know they all totally different, but I really do like a bunch of different types of music lol.

{three} what was the best job you ever had?
I am actually pretty happy with the one I have now.

{four} what youtube video made you laugh recently?
hmm.. not sure?!

{five} if you could ask God one question, what would you ask?

I talk to God a lot, so I ask him questions all of the time ;)

{six} if you won a million dollars, what would you do with it?

Pay off our house (because I hate paying off the mortgage monthly), take a long trip to Italy, and then just invest the rest of it. I would rather save the money than blow it on random things..

{seven} what's the worst movie you've ever seen?
Gigli... it was hands down the worst movie ever.

{eight} if you could have invented one thing, what would it have been?
cellphones, because I seriously don't know if I could live without mine haha.

{nine} what's the nicest thing someone's ever done for you?

this one is hard.. a lot of people have done a lot of really nice things for me over the years, I don't know if I can pick just one... but if I could the most nicest thing someone has done for me recently, I would have to say my in-laws letting us live with them (with our dog) rent free for 6 months while our house is being built. They really have done a lot for us both and probably have no idea just how much we appreciate it.

{ten} if you had the opportunity to live one year of your life over again, which year would you choose?

I am going to have to agree with Leigh Ashley on this and say I wouldn't. I am enjoying this point in my life a lot right now and wouldn't really want to change it.

join in the fun by going to Leigh Ashley's blog!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! Ours was really good. The trash the dress session was SO. MUCH. FUN! We got to Cape May around 4 and spent some time just walking around and getting something to eat and then at 6ish we met with the photographer for the pictures (he wanted to wait until sunset, which worked out perfect because it wasn't nearly as hot then). We saw some of the pictures as he was taking them and he got some neat shots, as soon as they go online I will make sure to post of them :)

Alright well I am getting ready to go watch a movie with my husband, brother-in-law, and father-in-law.. it's definitely going to be a guys movie haha... but have a good rest of the night!

Weekend Plans and Trash the Dress Photos ;)

I love 3 day weekends.. especially when I don't have too many big plans other than relaxing with the hubby.

Tonight we are meeting some friends for happy hour and then ordering a pizza, renting a movie, and getting a bottle of wine. Sounds like a perfect Friday night to me ;)

Saturday during the day we have no plans right now... so that means we are SLEEPING IN, maybe getting up in time to go to a late breakfast and possibly some shopping haha. Then that evening we have a graduation party for a family friend and watching some fireworks at the park down the street.

Sunday again no plans in the morning, so more sleeping in (one of my favorite past times, haha) and then we are heading into the city with some friends for dinner and fireworks at Penns Landing.

Then finally on Monday we are heading to Cape May to take some pictures. I am actually really excited about this!

Last weekend at my brother-in-laws wedding the photographers (they were the same ones we used for my wedding) asked me if I would want to trash my wedding dress. (it seems to be a popular new thing where brides are wearing their dresses and getting all dirty or jumping in water.. stuff like that

They really wanted to get someone to wear a wedding dress on the beach and get in the water and play in the sand so they can use the pictures for their brochures and website to promote that they now do trash the dress sessions... and well since they knew I had an extra dress (long story short.. 2 weeks before my wedding I had to buy a new dress because the seamstress screwed mine up.. when I went to pick it up from her it had a tear in the side, beads falling off, still too big etc... BUT it would now work perfect to wear for a trash the dress session) they offered to do a free photo shoot.

This was actually something I have wanted to do for awhile! I have seen some friends do it with their wedding dresses and they get some really neat pictures, but I didn't really want to pay for it... but since they asked me to do it and it's free.. why not?! I think it will be a lot of fun and since really what am I ever going to use the other dress for anyways?!

We are going to go get Vince a pair of cheap black dress pants and dress shirt so he doesn't have to ruin any of his nice ones, but can still look like a groom in the pictures haha. Plus before we do the trash the dress session they offered to take some normal pictures of Vince and I on the beach.. so not quite sure what we are wearing for that yet, but maybe just something casual like jeans and a plain t-shirt.

Again, I wouldn't normally go have professional pictures taken of us for no reason.. but if the photographers offer to do it for free.. why wouldn't we? haha. So hopefully in a week or so I will have some of the proofs back and I will make sure to post them for you all to see!

Well anyways I have to run, but hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend! ;o)
